First edition litographic poster, 1966. In 1966 Monte Carlo celebrated a century of spectacular ballet performances. The Principality became the home for the Ballet Russes in 1911 when Serge Diaghilev and his company took up residence there. Cecil Beaton designed the scenes for the Centenary Celebration supporting Ballet in Monte Carlo in 1966. This is the poster he designed.
