A LOUIS XV CANAPES Beechwood France Circa 1770 The canapes of serpentine form with serpentine show-wood moulded seat rails and high arched serpentine backs with swept arms, on cabriole legs and shaped feet. The elegance of the form and age of the canapes most lend themselves to light occasional use. Provenance:- Christie’s, New York, June 1986.
