ASSAM PINK COTTON LAMPSHADE
These lovely cotton lampshades are part of our Assam and Scallop Collection and are a new addition to the Samarkand family. I visited a wonderful project in a remote part of Assam, in North East India. The project was set up by the Tata Trust to encourage and support women to develop their traditional hand-loom skills. I was so impressed with these women and their wonderful creativity and enthusiasm that I commissioned some cotton using their designs.
