A four-panel folding screen, each panel covered in vellum with three early nineteenth century Chinese watercolour panels mounted on black surrounds with pale green narrow borders. The group of twelve Chinese panels executed in line, wash, watercolour and bodycolour, each a charming depiction of figures engaged in daily life. Amongst the figures a nursemaid and child in a courtyard, a scholar in an interior, a lady playing with a small dog and a street seller carrying his wares. The reverse of each panel mounted with a length of wallpaper depicting Chinese figures amongst bridges and pavilions. Circa 1810, China Each painting mesures 43cm x35cm
