AN UNUSUAL FOSSILISED ORTHOCERAS TOP COFFEE TABLE

An unusual coffee table with a prehistoric fossilised orthoceras top that is now on a contemporary steel base. Orthoceras were an ancient mollusc that lived more than 400 million years ago. The name means straight horn, referring to the characteristic long, straight, conical shells they lived in. They are now extinct and were the ancestor of our modern-day squid. The table is of a good size and incredibly stylish.
