Chris Gower originally trained as an actor at both The Welsh College of Music & Drama and at RADA. He became both actor and theatre administrator in the UK and Africa before opening Ashton Gower Antiques in Burford in 1986.

He has extensive experience in various centres in London and the West Country both as a dealer and in general management. More recently he has been the Managing Editor of ‘Antique Interiors’, and is now well-known on television as a presenter and expert for Granada and the BBC. He is the face of ‘Find a Fortune’, ‘Trading Treasures’ and ‘Sun, Sea & Bargain Spotting’, as well as a regular broadcaster on BBC Radio 2 and
LBC.
